Simon D'Aquino

Simon has therapeutic training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Based Therapy (ACT).


Simon is also a published researcher and author with an interest in substance use and anxiety. Simon focuses on establishing a good working relationship with his patients by taking a friendly, curious, and relaxed approach to treatment.

 

Simon aims to help his patients process unconscious feelings and negative experiences from early life, and become aware of thinking and behavioural patterns which perpetuate their psychological suffering. Simon's typical mode of working is seeing patients regularly over medium to long term to help them establish significant and lasting change
 

Simon also brings a wealth of life experience from previous careers and many deep and varied relationships. Simon is also a musician who have toured Internationally and Australia wide.
